Manifesto: solidarity among young researchers on political ecology. ...Visions for the future...

ree

Together, we want to rethink how we care for one another and how we can collectively share our experiences, knowledge, and privileges to support scholars around the world. Our aim is to co-write a manifesto—one that reflects our commitments to mutual aid, care, and collective action—and to publish it as a call for broader solidarity. In particular, the manifesto will be a collection of our dreams and hope for the future of political ecology and the conditions of researching in the same field. We intend to emphasize the importance of place-based knowledge, interdisciplinary knowledge generation from, for instance, queer ecology or crip theories and a transdisciplinary knowledge generation.

We especially want to create a welcoming and safe space for early-career researchers and those who find themselves in need of support and guidance. This initiative is open to everyone—professors, postdocs, researchers, PhD and master’s students—regardless of where you are based. Our netweork is especially open for researchers from the Global South. But everyone is welcome!

If you are interested in joining our visionary community, please reach out to me.
